Redistricting

CANI, Inc., wants you to be aware of the upcoming redistricting process. I know all of you participated in the 2020 Census . This process will not occur again until 2030, so what we do today will have an impact for 10 years.

Now that the census is over, we are getting ready to draw new district lines to account for new population growth, this process is called redistricting. Redistricting is the process of drawing boundaries for electoral and political districts in the U.S. and is usually done every ten years after the census. The U.S. Constitution requires each Representative in Congress represent an equal number of citizens and mandates a census to determine the number of citizens and apportion seats to each state.

The Census numbers will also allow federal dollars to be re-allocated to each state to pay for federally funded programs like Social Security.

Please check your State Legislative website or other nonprofits websites in your area to find out where town halls are being held so you can let your voice be heard.
